We started out visiting our nephew Jamie and his wife Denise in Pembroke Pines.
They have a pool, a kayak, and a Hobie Cat, and their back yard is on a lake. What a life! Their neighbors Lon and Trish and their daughters Haley and Sarah came over for a while on Sunday.
On Friday and Saturday the wind was too calm to go out in the Hobie Cat.
Then on Sunday it was blowing over 30mph, so only the truly experienced, like 10 year old Haley, were permitted.
We went to a Red Sox exhibition game at the Orioles's
Spring Training stadium in Fort Lauderdale. Most of the big name players were playing in the WBC or stayed back in Fort Myers, but we did get to see Jacoby Ellsbury steal a base.
After the game we went down to Miami Beach for a few days.
